Albion has today been notified of positive Covid test results amongst the family of one of our members. At this time our priority is the health and safety of our members, their families and the wider community so we have taken the decision to suspend all football activity for at least 48 hours to allow the relevant authorities and the club to understand if Albion is within the scope of the required contact tracing and to assist in the contact tracing should it be deemed necessary. Our decision to suspend activities is purely precautionary and in line with our detailed procedures that we have in place at the club. This period will also allow the club receive the appropriate guidance from the HSE and for the club to assist the HSE in any way we can. Our thoughts are with the family at this time and we wish everyone concerned a speedy recovery and a safe return to football when appropriate. The club will issue further updates as soon as possible.
